These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Smart School mobile application (the “App”) and related services (the “Services”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is designed for school use across Primary, Preparatory (Middle School), and Secondary (High School) levels.
Smart School provides an educational platform to support school communication and learning services for students, parents/guardians, teachers, and school administrators.
Students may use the App only through access provided by their school and/or under the guidance of a parent/guardian.
Parents/guardians may use the App to follow up on student progress and school communications, where enabled by the school.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
The Services are provided in cooperation with participating schools.
The school may control what features are enabled, what information is available, and which users can access the App.
Some content and information in the App is created and managed by the school (such as schedules, attendance, grades, announcements, and learning materials).
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
Harass, threaten, bully, or impersonate others.
Upload, share, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringes the rights of others.
Attempt to bypass security, access accounts or data without permission, or interfere with the App’s operation.
Upload viruses, malware, spam, or automated scripts.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
The App may allow users (including teachers and administrators) to share content such as messages, files, announcements, homework, and learning materials.
You remain responsible for any content you submit or share.
By submitting content through the App, you grant Smart School a limited license to store, process, and display that content only to provide and operate the Services.
We take privacy seriously. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
For student accounts, information may be processed to provide school services (e.g., communication, attendance, educational content, and notifications) as configured by the school.
Parents/guardians and schools are responsible for supervising students’ use of the App and ensuring appropriate use.
The App may send important service-related notifications (e.g., announcements, reminders, schedule updates).
You may control some notification settings on your device. Disabling notifications may reduce App functionality.
The App, software, design, logos, trademarks, and related materials are owned by Smart School or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App except as allowed by law.
The App may integrate with third-party services (e.g., messaging, video, or payment providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and policies.
We may update, improve, or modify the App at any time, including adding or removing features.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, network issues, or third-party interruptions.
The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not provide warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart School will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the App or Services.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App:
If these Terms are violated,
If the school requests suspension/termination,
Or if required to protect the security and integrity of the Services.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted within the App or on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
